I work at Newark Academy, which is a private sixth through 12th grade school in New Jersey. I work at the advancement office helping to keep our external community engaged with the school. At FDU I attended many workshops with the career counseling office to help me polish up my resume, network and practice interview questions. I found my two year long internship through FDU, which made me feel extremely prepared for the job market. I considered so many colleges and universities as a high school student, ranging from local public schools to large private universities, both in and out of state.
I ultimately chose FDU for a few reasons. One, the price. I received a large scholarship to attend the school. Two the size. The school was about double the size of my high school, which made me feel like I would be able to get to know people all the time, with this small school feel. Three the location. I fell in love with the campus as soon as I stepped on it, it is close to the city and Morris town and the surrounding areas have so many job and internship opportunities. Four, I could continue my field hockey and lacrosse careers at an extremely competitive institution. FDU is a standout education, a place to make lifelong relationships and feel prepared and ready for life's next chapter. Seize the moment and change your world at FDU.
