FDU helped Carin turned her aspiration of teaching high school math into a reality.

Thinking of teaching?

By taking advantage of FDU’s 4+1 combined degree programs, Carin earned both her bachelor’s degree in math and master’s degree in secondary education and fast-tracked her path to becoming a high school math educator.

Hello, I'm Carin, and I graduated in the four plus one program in undergraduate in 2021 with my bachelor's in math and my master's in secondary education in 2022 my current career is in line with my original career aspirations.

While I was a student at FDU, I went to school for education, and I am currently a high school math educator.

Many of the professors and career development counselors at FDU helped me prepare my resume for job interviews.

They gave me tips for the job hunting process.

The Education Department was always sending me emails about job fairs and job openings.

I actually got hired from my current position while attending a job fair.

The greatest benefit of attending FDU was expanding my cultural awareness and developing a greater appreciation for my personal achievements.

The words that best describe my FDU experience are rewarding, global and transformative.

At FDU, I seize the moment and change the my world.
